This is a true end-to-end role in an SME manufacturing environment — you'll cover everything from day-to-day transactional postings right through to management accounts, so you'll need to be just as comfortable in the detail as you are stepping back to report on the bigger picture. Responsibilities Managing the end-to-end accounting function for the company, from transactional processing through to month-end reporting Posting and reconciling all bank transactions and nominal ledger entries Responsible for all invoicing, and the full Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts Cost accounting Inventory valuation and margin analysis COGS monitoring Stock reconciliation Completing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Carrying out intercompany reconciliations Producing variance analysis to explain movements and flag areas of concern Preparing cashflow forecasts to support business planning Getting stuck into a wide range of finance tasks — this is a genuinely varied, hands-on role Business partnering with the procurement team Supporting the wider finance function with ad hoc projects and process improvements Requirements Proven experience in an end-to-end accounts or all-round finance role, ideally within an SME environment Manufacturing industry experience is required Part-qualified or qualified in a relevant finance discipline is advantageous but not essential, we're open to candidates who are qualified by experience Confident preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations unsupervised Pharmaceutical industry experience would be helpful Strong Excel skills, comfortable with complex models, pivot tables and formulas A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy Comfortable working in an SME environment where no task is too big or too small The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues A proactive, self-motivated approach, you don't wait to be told what needs doing Benefits Competitive Salary 30 Days holiday (Including Bank Holidays upon successful completion of probation) Your Birthday off Free on site parking Company Pension Scheme Regular Staff Events Employee Assistance Programme Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Company pension Free parking Experience: Manufacturing: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person
