Accountant
Accountant (General) Full-Time | Permanent Position Location: NSW Salary: $75000 - $83000 We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant (General) to join our business. This is a professional accounting position with responsibility for financial reporting, analysis, statutory compliance, financial controls and providing management with accurate financial information to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities · Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets. · Prepare BAS, IAS and calculate GST obligations. · Review journal entries, general ledger accounts and month-end and year-end reconciliations. · Review financial results and identify differences between actual expenditure, budgets and financial records. · Analyse manufacturing, production and distribution costs, including inventory and related financial transactions. · Monitor payroll tax, PAYG withholding and year-end STP. · Review historical financial performance and prepare reports for management. · Review accounting controls and investigate financial discrepancies or unusual transactions. · Monitor cash flow, working capital and foreign exchange transactions relating to imported products. · Liaise with tax agents and external auditors and prepare supporting financial reports and reconciliations. · Assist with the integration of Cin7 Core with the company’s accounting systems to improve the accuracy of financial information. · Ensure financial reporting complies with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant accounting requirements. · Provide management with advice on accounting, compliance and financial matters. About You To be considered for this role, you will have: · A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field. · Previous experience in a professional accounting role. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Strong communication skills and the ability to work with management, tax agents and auditors.
