The Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely payments and collections, payroll support, and compliance with applicable accounting requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems. * Record and reconcile daily financial transactions. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Process invoices, payments, deposits, and reimbursements. * Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts. * Assist with payroll processing and related records. * Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow. * Prepare documentation for audits, tax filings, and financial reviews. * Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies and regulations. * Work with management to provide financial information and support budgeting decisions. * Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information. * Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Previous accounting experience, preferably in an educational, childcare, or nonprofit environment. * Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting principles. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to handle confidential information professionally. **Employment Type:** Full-time or Part-time **Location:** Color Our Rainbow Academy **Reports To:** Director/Administrator Pay: $65,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Work Location: Remote
