Position Summary The Sales Representative is responsible for generating qualified leads, conducting outbound prospecting, and supporting early-stage customer engagement for OptioRx sales initiatives. This role follows established playbooks, uses CRM tools accurately, communicates company offerings clearly, and helps build foundational customer relationships that support pipeline growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Conduct cold calls, emails, and other outbound prospecting activities in accordance with established sales processes and outreach standards. Identify and qualify prospective customers by asking basic discovery questions, documenting needs, and determining appropriate next steps. Communicate OptioRx products, services, and value propositions clearly and professionally to prospects and customers. Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, including outreach activity, contact information, prospect status, notes, and follow-up tasks. Handle straightforward customer interactions, qualifying questions, objections, and routine informational requests using approved scripts, playbooks, and resources. Support departmental outreach goals by completing assigned calls, emails, follow-ups, appointments, and lead-generation activities. Escalate complex customer questions, non-standard requests, or higher-value opportunities to more experienced sales team members or leadership. Participate in sales training, team meetings, coaching sessions, and campaign activities to strengthen product knowledge, prospecting skills, and sales effectiveness. Collaborate with teammates by sharing prospect information, customer insights, and market feedback that may improve sales outreach or pipeline development. Demonstrate professionalism, resilience, persistence, and strong customer service while representing OptioRx in prospect and customer interactions. Schedule introductory meetings, follow-up calls, or handoffs with more experienced sales team members when prospects demonstrate potential interest. Maintain consistent follow-up with assigned leads using approved outreach cadences, scripts, and communication templates. Support lead nurturing by sending approved materials, documenting prospect responses, and tracking next steps in the CRM. Assist with basic research on prospective customers, target accounts, and contact information to support outreach preparation. Provide timely updates to sales leadership or senior sales team members regarding prospect activity, barriers, and potential opportunities. Support newly identified account opportunities by organizing initial notes, contact details, and customer needs for transition to the appropriate sales owner. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist with sales campaigns, market research, CRM cleanup, customer lists, and outreach projects as requested. Support onboarding or cross-training activities by sharing basic process knowledge once proficient in assigned responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS 0–1 years sales experience; high school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred. Basic understanding of customer service, outbound communication, lead generation, objection handling, and time management. Ability to learn company products, services, value propositions, target customer profiles, sales terminology, CRM systems, and prospecting techniques. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with prospects, customers, and internal teams. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate CRM documentation with minimal errors. Ability to follow established priorities, workflows, scripts, and standard operating procedures while receiving frequent coaching and feedback. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer and phone, and perform routine office-based work. Ability to conduct basic prospect research and prepare for outreach using available tools and approved resources. Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and sending professional follow-up communications. Ability to recognize when a prospect requires escalation to a more experienced sales team member. Willingness to learn sales processes, product knowledge, customer profiles, and CRM expectations through coaching and training. Coachability: Receives feedback, applies direction, and continues developing foundational sales skills. Attention to Detail: Captures accurate prospect information, next steps, and activity notes to support effective handoffs and follow-up.
