# 9.2026 - Classified Exempt - Data Engineer **Kearney Public Schools** · Kearney, NE 68845 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role QUALIFICATIONS: Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience Required Skills/Experience: Relational database concepts Advanced SQL skills including but not limited to complex queries, joins, stored procedures, functions, and job scheduling Preferred Skills/Experience: Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Clever or Class Link K-12 Student Information System(s) or other Information System ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to) On-time, regular, and in-person attendance is essential for this position. Lead technical and administrative role for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the district’s data interfaces and extracts. Provide support in report creations and data extracts for systems.. Foster and maintain a strong vendor relationship with the SIS provider. Maintains understanding of the Nebraska Department of Education data EdFi data reporting requirements and deadlines and works with the appropriate district department to ensure data quality is maintained for accurate and timely reporting. Provide primary project management, change management and technical support for the following modules in the SIS; Demographics, Assessment, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Special Education (SpEd), Parent and Student Portals, Analytics, Registration, Gradebook, and Scheduling. Perform quality control and assist staff and administration in validating the accuracy of student and family information maintained in the SIS. Analyze user concerns, requirements, and requests for system features and uses; identify applications, modifications, and enhancements to existing systems to accommodate user needs. Upon request, meets with district leadership to provide consulting and problem solving services, designed to utilize technology which will improve efficiencies and/or accuracy of data collected and reported. Provide ad hoc reports to district leadership to empower data-driven decision making. Ensure all data is syncing and reporting accurately to the state and cleanup errors as they occur Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively improve the data and our customer experience. Provide professional, timely response to all district inquiries. Adhere to departmental guidelines for email and meetings. Meet all commitments . Performs other duties as required by the Director of Technology.
