3D Draftsman (Events & Exhibitions)

Position: 3D Draftsman / 3D Visualizer Industry: Events, Exhibitions & Experiential Design Employment Type: Full-time Joining: Immediate joiners preferred Reports to: Design Manager / Head of Design

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced 3D Draftsman to support our events and exhibition projects. You will turn concept designs into accurate 3D models, renders, and technical drawings that our production and site teams can build from. The ideal candidate works well under tight deadlines and understands how exhibition stands, stages, and event structures are built.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models of exhibition stands, stages, event sets, pavilions, and interiors from concept sketches and briefs.
• Prepare 2D shop drawings, GA plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for fabrication and site installation.
• Produce high-quality renders and walkthroughs for client presentations and approvals.
• Prepare accurate material, dimension, and finish details for the production and carpentry teams.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, and workshop teams to resolve technical issues.
• Update drawings promptly after client or design revisions, and manage version control.
• Make sure drawings meet venue regulations, safety requirements, and organizer guidelines.
• Support site measurements and on-site changes when required.

Required Skills & Software

• 3D modeling: SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Rhino
• 2D drafting: AutoCAD (essential)
• Rendering: V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, or D5 Render
• Adobe Photoshop for presentation boards and post-production (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of joinery, MDF/wood structures, metal framing, trusses, graphics, lighting, and AV integration
• Ability to read and interpret design concepts and technical briefs

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
• 3–6 years of experience as a 3D Draftsman in the events, exhibition, or experiential industry
• A portfolio of exhibition stands or event projects is highly preferred
