2nd Shift Production Supervisor

2nd Shift Production Supervisor Fortis Coating Solutions, Lowell, NC Full-time | $20 to $25 per hour | Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (includes an unpaid 30-minute lunch)

About the role We're looking for a hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our production team. You'll run the shift safely, meet production and quality targets, and hand off a shift that's ready to go. You'll report to the General Manager.

What you'll do

• Review the previous shift's handoff and confirm priorities, staffing, equipment and materials
• Assign employees to machines and tasks based on the schedule and their qualifications
• Make sure materials, work instructions, startup checks and quality checks are ready before production starts
• Track output, schedule progress, scrap, downtime and labor throughout the shift
• Enforce safe work practices, housekeeping standards and attendance expectations
• Solve problems on the floor and escalate equipment, safety and quality issues
• Stop work and hold suspect material when a safety or product issue comes up
• Train and coach employees, and bring staffing or training needs to the General Manager
• Keep production, inventory, downtime and quality records accurate
• Hand off a documented summary to the next shift

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of supervisor or lead experience in manufacturing or production
• Lean and 5S manufacturing experience
• Strong understanding of safety and quality procedures
• Comfortable using a computer for production records and reporting
• Clear communicator who can lead a team and solve problems on the spot
• Reliable, with the ability to work the full 2nd shift schedule

Schedule Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Overtime and weekends may be required as needed, but they are not part of the regular schedule.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
